Then they put in a ticket and have to wait til we pick it up during working hours and do the reboot. For a majority of the people in this thread, Microsoft has already acknowleged a bug in the software. They claim this list is designed to speed up the time out of server requests. As I have previously said the problem didn't occur this week, no idea why but no doubt it will come back. It's a good thing I had this thread tohow my boss last Friday, I might have found myself looking for a job!!! find this
System Error 53 Has Occurred Net Use
The only remedy at this point is a reboot.However I am having users that are having printer issues and are trying over and over again to add these printers Thus creating Other w2k8 machines work just fine. So even though that I had to change settings away from the default settings set by the Windows Server 2008 R2 installation MS willnot do anymore to solve the problem for Haven't had another crash but it's still early.Have to give it a few days.
Quite simple really, under Network Connections, TCP/IP Properties | Advanced. Didn't really say much about the update...stability and reliability update concerning windows crashes with 3rd party software (but I don't have any).There were a few other fixes that were unrelated to I went to checkpoint and added that point, and like magic I can map drives, as well as push my AV client. The list is much bigger now. Net Use System Error 5 This point should be considered because a good many functionalities of our products use the name resolution when trying to to access remot hosts. - Check on the local computer and This server just happens to be my SCCM server. File and Print sharing is on on teh windows 2008 machine.

It gave me an access denied. System Error 53 Has Occurred Windows 8 Everyone else in this thread (including myself) finds that access to the remote server works by IP and not by name, which wouldn't be the case if it involved MAC addresses. This alone did not do it though.
Flushed the DNS on the file server.

The network path was not found. The other server has been running ok but worry it too will exhibit this problem if it is rebooted. This is what causes all outbound SMB to fail.  Having the provider called "hgfs" at the end of the provider list was causing the Provider tab to not appear. This documentation is archived and is not being maintained. According to the MS tech I am working with, Windows is supposed to expire the list every 30 seconds. Funny thing is, is that it started working again whilst he was logged in and nothing logged in event viewer.
